Vaz joins King as company explores new partnerships
Role created to foster partnerships to capitalise on company's rapid growth.
Social gaming business King.com has appointed Emma Vaz in the newly created role of vice president for business development and partnerships for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
King has recently switched its focus from purely offering high volume skill games to offering similar games on Facebook and other social platforms including Google+.
According to the company it is the fourth largest games company on Facebook. Its most popular game, Bubble Witch Saga, has 13 million monthly active users and has been one of the fastest-growing Facebook games in the past year. It adds that it has more than 30 million unique players, more than 1.5 billion games are played per month globally, while it offers more than 150 exclusive games in 14 languages through its main domain King.com.
Vaz previously worked at white label casual games solution provider Oberon Media where she led the company’s international online business as VP of international partnerships for Europe and Asia Pacific. She will based at King’s London headquarters and will report to Mark Charkin, executive vice president for business development and advertising.
