Unibet launches poker and casino mobile apps
Swedish operator launches new Relax Gaming-powered poker and slots apps simultaneously on iOS and Android
Stockholm-listed operator Unibet is set to expand its mobile portfolio today with the launch of two native real-money gaming apps, eGaming Review understands.
Unibet Poker and SpinCity, developed by software firm Relax Gaming, are both expected to go this afternoon after receiving approval from the relevant app stores.
The operator’s new slots app, SpinCity, will also debut on both iOS and Android featuring blackjack, roulette and four Quickspin-developed slots titles such as Big Bad Wolf.
“The app has some really cool features and we can’t wait for our players to start enjoying the unique rewards built into the app,” Jenna Krog, SpinCity business owner, said.
“It has very well-known slot titles from Quickspin, which have fantastic themes and features, and it is around these features that we have structured our rewards model,” she added.
The rewards model enables players to collect a new loyalty currency through the app which they can use to automatically trigger bonus features in the games. “This concept is completely new to real-money gaming and we believe it will be key to the success of the app,” Krog said.
Unibet’s Maria brand is also scheduled to release the same application under the brand name Spin Me just weeks after the launch of SpinCity.
The new poker app will initially be launched on iPad only and follows the recent release of the operator’s new poker client which was developed to target casual poker players with features including avatars, missions and achievements.
Head of poker Martin Stalros told eGR the operator was using the same codebase across all channels to limit the differences between its mobile and desktop software.
“Our customers will recognise the poker client and feel at home no matter which product they use,” he said. “It also keeps us streamlined with one clear focus, which will improve the customer experience.”
