Sporting Solutions to double size of Wigan team
B2B pricing provider aims to double recently installed trading team in order to meet increasing client demand
Sporting Solutions is set to ramp up the size of its nascent Wigan office in order to provide its growing client base with a wider portfolio of in-running pricing solutions.
The London-based B2B pricing provider, which forms part of Sporting Index Group along with spread betting firm Sporting Index, opened the Wigan office during the summer to compliment its team of roughly 100 traders based at its Kennington headquarters.
eGR understands the Wigan base currently houses a trading team of around 20, with plans afoot to at least double that number in order to meet demand from partners such as William Hill, Betfred, Sky Bet and Youwin for an enlarged number of in-play betting opportunities.
“We continuously invest in our trading and modelling capabilities to provide our partners with the best possible service, across the widest range of sports and markets,” Simon Trim, managing director of Sporting Solutions, told eGaming Review.
Probability hires former William Hill head of mobile
Mobile operator Probability has announced the appointment of former William Hill head of mobile Michael Byrne to the newly created role of chief commercial officer.
Byrne will join the company in November from Bet and Move, a mobile casino he launched on the Probability mobile platform after he left William Hill in January 2012, which will now be managed by his business partners.
In his new role, Byrne will be responsible for driving Probability’s B2C and white label revenues in the UK market, in addition to assuming control of its customer marketing and retention for the Probability brand and white label partners in the UK. Byrne will also oversee the development of Probability’s affiliate network.

Sky Bet hires ex-Facebook social gaming manager
Egaming operator Sky Betting and Gaming has appointed former Facebook EMEA manager for social gaming to the role of head of social gaming and Sky development.
Bruce Bale joins the Alderney-licensed operator after spending two years at the social network company where he led its social gaming operations in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Speaking with eGaming Review, managing director of Sky Betting and Gaming, Richard Flint, said Bale would help drive the operator’s presence on social channels.
Landry’s appoints Betclic director to egaming team
Houston-headquartered gaming operator Landry’s has appointed Betclic Everest gaming director Warren Steven as product director for Golden Nugget’s online gaming platform in New Jersey.
He is the latest employee to join Landry’s, which owns the famous Golden Nugget casino chain, after former Betclic Expekt CEO Thomas Winter took up the role of vice president for online gaming last month.
Steven will assume the role in December, managing a team of six employees with responsibility for product management and marketing operations for poker and casino.
