CashBet appoints new commercial director
Mobile-first RMG platform provider CashBet has announced the appointment of David da Silva as its new commercial director.
Da Silva will be responsible for licensing sales of the CashBet platform to real-money gaming publishers and based out of the company’s London office.
“I’m delighted to join the talented team at CashBet to bring its industry-leading mobile-first platform to the international iGaming community,” da Silva said.
“The experience, maturity and quality invested in the CashBet platform is clearly visible to any operator facing the demands of running a cost-effective real-money wagering business that is increasingly dominated by mobile players,” he added.
Kristof Fahy promises “passion” as he begins Ladbrokes life
Kristof Fahy says he plans to “showcase the passion Ladbrokes brings to sport” as the former William Hill marketing chief kicks-off his new role as CMO at the Magic Sign.
Fahy, who was appointed by Ladbrokes in October, has been brought in to help CEO Jim Mullen achieve his stated goal of significantly expanding the operator’s recreational customer base.
“Ladbrokes has an extremely strong brand and I’m looking forward to building upon that strength with our marketing, advertising and sponsorship activity,” Fahy said.
Nektan CEO David Gosen resigns
Nektan chief executive David Gosen has tendered his resignation and will leave the firm at the end of the month, just one year after taking up the post.
The mobile gaming supplier informed the market of Gosen’s departure this morning and said executive chairman Gary Shaw would assume the CEO responsibilities for an interim period while a permanent replacement is sought.
Nektan said Gosen has resigned in order to pursue “new opportunities” and Shaw was appreciative of the former Xbox VP’s efforts over the past 12 months.

Bede nabs Boston-Smith from GAN
Bede Gaming has named former GameAccount Network (GAN) man Alistair Boston-Smith as its new business development director.
Boston-Smith, who left GAN late last year after a two-year spell as corporate development director, joined Bede’s London team in December.
Prior to GAN Boston-Smith held various roles at Sportingbet including as head of gaming, where he ran the casino, games and poker business units.
Bob Boughner to retire this summer
Boyd Gaming chief business development officer Bob Boughner will retire this summer although remain a member of the operator’s board of directors, the company announced this week.
Boughner joined Boyd Gaming, which operates the Borgata in New Jersey, back in 1976 and has held a number of senior roles including chief operating officer as well as chief exec of the Borgata.
He also played a key role in the Borgata launching its online gaming sites in New Jersey, which have claimed the lion’s share of the market since the state opened its digital doors back in 2013.
Imperus names Vicen?§ Mart? as new president
Akamon Entertainment CEO Vicen?§ Mart? has been named president of Imperus Technologies after the Toronto-based firm acquired the social casino developer at the back end of last year.
In his new role, Mart? will work alongside Imperus CEO James Lanthier and will oversee all business operations for the firm including its other recent acquisition, Diwip.
Mart? said Imperus’ two social casino assets were “world-class” and that his role will be to ensure the developer is “well-positioned” for success.
