Full Tilt shifts marketing strategy
Online operator repositions brand to appeal to casual players, and increases focus on casino and slots offering
Full Tilt has shifted its marketing strategy away from a focus on sponsored professional poker players to broaden its recreational appeal and increase its focus on the new casino vertical.
A spokesman for the company confirmed to eGaming Review it had ended its sponsorship of the faces of the site, poker pros Viktor Blom and Gus Hansen, following a year-long review of the Full Tilt brand.
And a new TV campaign will launch imminently and will focus on the “experience and stories” of the “vast majority” of Full Tilt’s players.
The new marketing direction will also include an increased push on products outside of Full Tilt’s core poker offering, including casino and slots games.
“Full Tilt will celebrate the excitement, fun and intrinsic enjoyment of playing our poker, blackjack, roulette and slots games,” a Full Tilt representative said.
“This follows a year-long review of the Full Tilt brand and a decision to move away from pro-centric advertising to focus on the experiences and stories of the vast majority of our players,” the representative added.
The new marketing strategy comes after Full Tilt dropped “Poker” from its branding as part of its transition to a multi-vertical gaming operator earlier this year.
Full Tilt casino has already launched in the UK, with plans to go live in Spain in the coming months.
