Ferguson settlement approved by judge
Tiltware board member has agreed to forfeit funds, but admits no wrongdoing.
Former Tiltware board member and Full Tilt Poker part-owner Chris Ferguson has had his settlement with United States authorities approved by Kimba M Wood.
The former World Series of Poker champion had reached the settlement earlier this week, and the approval from Judge Wood means three of the four members of the Tiltware board have now settled.
Ian J Imrich, a lawyer who has represented both Ferguson and Full Tilt in recent years, confirmed the approval via his Twitter feed. Under the terms of the agreement, Ferguson has agreed to forfeit an unspecified sum of money referenced in the First Amended Civil Complaint of September 2011, which was the first time his name was mentioned in connection with the civil proceedings stemming from the Black Friday indictments.
Ferguson has not been named in any criminal proceedings in relation to the case, though former FTP chief executive Ray Bitar “ also named in the First Amended Complaint “ awaits trial in relation to his April 2011 and July 2012 indictments.
Earlier this week, Imrich had suggested all parties concerned expected the signature of Judge Wood, who also approved the settlements of Ferguson’s fellow board members Howard Lederer and Rafe Furst.
