DENNIS PUBLISHING, the company behind magazine titles including Men’s Health, The Week and Viz, has launched a new online gambling product with mobile gaming technology business Mfuse.
Monkey Mobile Casino is branded on Dennis’ Monkey Magazine online product (pictured), which is aimed at an 18-25 ‘lad mag’ readership.
The service uses Litebet, a new service from Mfuse designed to help companies with high levels of mobile internet (WAP) traffic to provide customers with a white label betting portal.
It will contain mobile betting from brands including the Gala Coral, Ladbrokes, Paddy Power , Sportingbet, Stan James, Victor Chandler and William Hill sportsbooks, and casinos including Ladyluck’s, mFortune, Wild Jacks and Zero36.
Dennis partnerships and mobile managers Andrew Nicholls said: “We’re always looking for new ways to enhance the experience provided through Monkeymag.mobi and to drive additional revenue. Mfuse have a solution which helps us in both of these aims.”
Dennis is also the publisher behind poker site PKR’s Stacked magazine, which was launched in August last year.
Dennis is the third consumer media company to announce an online gambling deal in 24 hours, after entertainment giants MGM and Fremantle Media signed a deal to develop online casino games based on hit MGM movies titles, and internet search and entertainment giant Yahoo! renewed a deal allowing Gtech G2 to supply it with bingo, poker and soft games for another two years.
As reported on EGRmagazine.com last month, PartyGaming boss Jim Ryan predicts that the biggest threat to operators such as Party, 888 and Bwin comes from media companies, not established competitors.
