Cherry launches debut Game Lounge casino
Operator launches Scandinavia-facing SveaCasino.com in partnership with majority-owned affiliate Game Lounge
Swedish gaming operator Cherry has launched its first white-label casino in partnership with affiliate operator Game Lounge, following Cherry’s acquisition of a 51% stake in the Nordic-facing in January.
SveaCasino.com will target the Scandinavian market using Game Lounge’s affiliate network of more than 250 websites and is the first in a number of expected collaborations between Cherry and Game Lounge.
“We’re thrilled to be launching SveaCasino.com just two months after partnering with Game Lounge,” Fredrik Burvall, Cherry CEO, said.
“Their knowledge of the affiliate and SEO sectors, combined with our flexible platform and experience in running online casinos, makes for a powerful combination and together we’re sure we can deliver exactly the type of casino that players want,” he added.
“We expect to launch further brands but we are unsure in which markets yet.”
Cherry posted a 44% increase in full-year online revenues in February and said it expected the acquisition of a controlling stake in Game Lounge to boost activity and revenues further over the next three years.
Game Lounge CEO Jonas Cederholm said the partnership was perfectly suited for creating strong casino brands.
“It’s great to get our first white label with Cherry off the ground and we’re very pleased with the end result,” Cederholm said.
“SveaCasino.com is a strong brand and we’re confident that the players will engage with it. Cherry has a fantastic platform, and we’ve been helping to drive traffic to casinos for a long time, so we’re the perfect match for launching new casinos like this.”
