Ladbrokes Australia debuts multi-million dollar mobile pools
Operator's 'Mega Margin' AFL and NRL pools to be powered by Colossus Bets and includes partial cash-out
Ladbrokes Australia has launched a new mobile pools product as the operator continues to use Australia as a testing ground for innovation.
Mega Margin will allow users to bet on the outcome of Australian Rugby League (AFL) and National Rugby League (NRL) games, and includes partial cash-out functionality as well as a potential multi-million dollar pay out.
“Our mobile-led platform is perfectly suited to a bet with ‘on-the-go’ Cash Out decisions and life-changing jackpots for our players and Mega Margin is a great innovation for us,” Paul Cherry, COO of Ladbrokes Australia, said.
“Mega Margin pools will enable our players to shoot for a million dollar Pick 6 prize weekly on both AFL and NRL. Even better, these products feature Partial Cash Out which means that players can take some money and run between legs on their live tickets,” he added.
The product will be powered by Colossus Bets, which has plans to launch an AU$5m Pick 7 version in 2016.

In recent years Ladbrokes, which this morning confirmed it was in merger talks with Gala Coral, has used its Australia operation to debut many of its more innovative products.
In April, Ladbrokes was the first operator to announce an Apple Watch app, with the app initially only available in Australia. And last year the firm launched a branded ATM card in the market, which allowed customers to withdraw winnings immediately.
