Poll results: Product key to success in 2016
Majority of respondents to this week's poll say product differentiation will be essential in the coming year
Product differentiation will be the deciding factor behind operator success in 2016, according to the majority of respondents to this week’s poll.
As the year draws to a close, eGaming Review this week asked readers for their view on what will be the key battleground over the next 12 months.
And with operators continuing to place greater emphasis on exclusive and increasingly proprietary content and technology, 53% of respondents placed product differentiation at the top of the list.
The push for greater differentiation will also be felt by suppliers as operators look to take greater control of their customer-facing elements and provide a more altogether tailored experience.
Winning the battle for key talent was the second most popular choice on 17% of the vote and with a number of large scale mergers taking place next year headhunters and recruitment firms can look forward to a busy year ahead.
While 2015 may be remembered for being the year that M&A in the industry really got going, only 15% of respondents felt that finding the right merger or acquisition deal would be the priority for 2016.
Winning the marketing war also returned 15% of the vote despite a number of operators having ramped-up investment in the post-PoC era.
