Coral launches new poker app
Operator targets recreational players with gamification features as part of poker overhaul
Coral has launched a new poker app as it looks to increase the vertical’s appeal among recreational players.
The new app continues to sit upon Playtech’s iPoker network and Coral said it now has the most comprehensive product range of those operators – including Paddy Power and bet365 – which share the network.
“This completes an overhaul of the poker product over the last few months with the launch of the new download client, improved HTML5 mobile and web poker giving us the widest range of products on the iPoker network,” Craig Perry, Gala Coral head of poker, told eGaming Review.
“It gives us a great opportunity to further increase our recreational player base,” he added.
Among the new features on the app is a gamification push in the form of mission-based functionality, which has previously only been available on desktop, and which Perry said has proved “massively popular”.
Also included on the app is iPoker’s lottery sit and go format, Twister, and its fast fold variant, Speed Poker.
