FRIDAY’S NEED TO Know was dedicated to the ever-fascinating topic of us. And you.
Yes, along with 1199 of our other closest friends, you are invited to a two-day event in London next month hosted by us. The format is simple: it’s a conference and exhibition, like EiG. But it’s free. And it’s called EGR Live.
More than 350 businesses are already confirmed as coming, ranging from media companies, to operators, to land-based casinos and affiliates – as well as some 30+ exhibitors (and counting).
We’ve got speakers including software mogul Doug Richard from TV’s Dragons Den, Bwin’s Manfred Bodner and William Hill Online’s Henry Birch.
There are workshops, seminars, launches and drinks receptions, plus streams on acquisition and retention, product innovation, social responsibility, payments and marketing to Asia and Latin America.
We’ve also set up a special Power Affiliates stream designed for the serious professional affiliate (rather than the part-timer or Costa Rica-based semi-retirees), with presentations on topics including successful exits and acquisitions, legal issues, revenue models and the disappearing distinction between affiliates and operators.
There’s even a special diary system to make sure that amid the mayhem, you end up talking to everyone you wanted to. Plus for all of you coming to the EGR Awards, these take place on the first night at the very same venue, London’s Old Billingsgate market.
Enough said? Best register now.
In other news last week: CryptoLogic and PartyGaming fell, L&G rose, and Amuso and Media Corp revealed they are trying to do so. Plus Private equity got in with the Italians; Sportingbet got in with the jockeys and Tombola got in with the housewives.
