Sporting Index launches mobile platform
Second product to be launched this year after cloud-based B2B trading platform in January.
Sporting Index has announced the launch of its mobile spread betting platform, the second product to be rolled out by the operator this year.
The HTML5 product will give customers quicker access to live prices and bet placement. Specific versions of the app have been developed for iPhone, iPad, Android and Blackberry devices. It also features an improved layout and intuitive navigation, and follows the company’s Bet on the Move product, one of the first real-time mobile betting services to be launched, brought out in 2003 on the Mfuse platform.
David Turcan, head of channel development commented: “”Mobile is changing consumer expectations and we’re committed to delivering an unrivalled spread betting experience for our clients on every platform.
“Our dynamic new mobile app provides operating system and handset compatibility that allows us to use the same code to support multiple device configurations. It provides the foundations for some exciting future developments we are planning for mobile,” he explained.
The rolling out of the mobile platform follows January’s launch of a cloud-based B2B trading platform, the Cloud Calculation Engine (C2E), developed by the company’s B2B arm Sporting Solutions.
Sporting Index CEO Warren Murphy said: “Technology is fundamental to providing a first-class service, whether for our B2C or B2B operations. That’s why we continue to invest heavily in technology across the Sporting Index Group and we have some exceptionally talented engineers working for us. Our new mobile platform provides further evidence of our capabilities in this respect.”
